One of the articles I read was called Coke Zero, the Deadliest Beverage…or So They Say, and it was about how Coke Zero isn’t as bad for you as the media makes it out to be. In the article the author discussed the main ingredients and revealed that although some of the ingredients can in fact be deadly, the amounts found in Coke Zero aren’t nearly enough to have any adverse effects on the human body. The article was very well written from a style and voice standpoint and based on the sources referenced throughout the article it is easy to see that this author did his research. Furthermore, the findings from the research were presented in a manner that was easy to read and not too confusing for those of us who are not familiar with the specific chemical compounds discussed within the article. The article started out by discussing how Coca-Cola advertises the drink as a healthy alternative to the real Coke because it contains no calories and no fat. The author also discusses how the drink has been portrayed by the media as a deadly drink that is one of the least healthy things that a person can consume. The author then goes on to state the most prominent ingredients in the drink and how they can be considered deadly and also why they are not deadly in the concentration that is found within the drink, Coke Zero. Overall the article was well written and easy to both read and comprehend.
