I am not a fan of this cold weather, I miss the summer. The only good thing about colder weather is that I can switch to my comfy sweat pants without getting too hot but I would gladly trade that for some nice warm weather. The worst part of this weather is waking up cold. I’ve never been a morning person but when I wake up cold its even harder for me to get out of bed. I always just want to go back to sleep and burrow further under my large warm comforter. I used to put a space heater in my room and put one of those lamp timers on it so that it would turn on 15 minutes before my alarm clock would go off so that when I woke up it would be nice and toasty in my room. I think I might have to do that again. I also need to get some warmer shoes before it gets any colder because the warmest shoes I have right now are my running shoes and those aren’t exactly winter shoes. One of my friends had these really comfortable slippers and it turns out that they were ugg slippers for men. After finding out that ugg made shoes for men I went on their website and browsed around a bit, I found this pair of moccasin type shoe slipper thingies that look really warm and comfortable, the only thing is that they’re $100 which is a little (a lot) out of my price range. Maybe I’ll ask for these for a Hanukah present…

I promise you, Ugg slippers will last Forever! You will not need another pair for many years, so you can take that into consideration when trying to rationalize having them! I agree with you on the cold weather, I am not looking forward to walking to class when it gets really bad and the wind is whipping around. I am finding that living on an upper floor in the dorm is a very warm place to live, maybe because warm air rises. I got some flannel sheets for when things get really cold, but I can't imagine ever using them at this point! I hate to think what the top floor must be like.
ReplyDeleteI recently just purchased a pair of moccasins myself! I love them! They weren't Uggs but they were only 35 dollars! Maybe you can find a different pair that are similar to those but cheaper! If not, definitely asking for them as a gift might work! I hate the cold too. Everyone's blogging about hating it which is funny.
ReplyDeleteI've actually been sleeping with my air conditioner on which is kind of funny. It's just, my whole apartment complex has their heat on and it makes my apartment feel like it's on fire. I'm stuck between hating the cold and hating the heat that I've been experiencing lately.
